There are two ways to create complex sound effects:
The first option is to load instruments separately by calling LoadInstrument() and connect them together using ConnectInstruments(). Then use TweakKnob() to control the sound parameters. This method lets you create complex patches out of any existing instrument. You can use the PatchDemo tool to help you design the patch. There are many example patches to get you started.
The second option is to use ARIA. ARIA lets you create custom DSP instrument templates out of a library of existing instruments. You design the instruments graphically on the Macintosh. ARIA also lets you edit envelopes graphically. These custom instruments can be loaded with a single call to LoadInstrument().
